# Export the Jefferson character for another SillyTavern 2026-09-26. Source: Grok thread on JeffersonMind + SillyTavern. SillyTavern already has an export. The card is a **PNG with the definition hidden in the image**, or a plain **JSON**. Both import the same way on the next machine. ## Export from this machine 1. Character Management → Jefferson selected. 2. **Export** → PNG (best: portrait + fields) and/or JSON. 3. Also export **World Info** → book `JeffersonMind` as JSON. 4. Copy **Data Bank** files separately. They are **not** inside the card. Use filled `corpus/*.txt` from the Git clone (or zip that folder). ## Import on the other install 1. Import the PNG/JSON into Characters. 2. Import the world-info JSON. 3. Globe-link the book to the card. 4. Wand → Data Bank → add the same filled texts. 5. Extensions → Vector Storage → **Enabled for files**. 6. SillyTavern is not a public Character.AI-style host. You can self-host ST on a VPS for yourself. There is no official “publish this card to the web for strangers” button. Tokens and keys stay yours.
