# What to copy out of SillyTavern 2026-09-26. Precise slice of user data — not the app on the stick. On a typical install: ```text <SillyTavern>\data\default-user\ ``` (or `default` / your handle). Do not commit chats unless you accept a private repo still holding the full talk on GitHub’s disks. Your current private repository already matches this if you add `st/characters/` and `st/worlds/` and leave the running tavern off GitHub.
