[Watch on YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDPFeWdymKk) · MountMedia · 2025-08-16 · 3:34 (summarized from YouTube's English captions) ## Outline - **0:00–0:12 – Intro.** A short video with "very interesting news": the best Insta360 X5 deal yet. First, the white version of the camera. - **0:12–0:37 – Satin White X5 first impressions.** Werner wasn't impressed by the press photos but changed his mind in person. The white body contrasts with the black lenses and has orange accents, such as the ring around the shutter button. ![[images/Insta360 X5 Black vs Satin White and The Best Deal Ever-t0018.webp]] - **0:37–0:49 – What's in the box.** The standard packaging has nothing special, but the pouch is color-matched in white. It holds a USB-C cable and a lens-cleaning cloth. ![[images/Insta360 X5 Black vs Satin White and The Best Deal Ever-t0045.webp]] - **0:49–1:15 – White selfie stick.** The standard 114 cm Insta360 selfie stick in Satin White (the official name of the color) pairs well with the camera. He's looking forward to filming with it in winter snow. ![[images/Insta360 X5 Black vs Satin White and The Best Deal Ever-t0052.webp]] - **1:15–1:32 – The finish up close.** It isn't pure white. It's glossier than the black version and shows tiny sprinkles of color at an angle in the right light, which looks classy. - **1:32–2:02 – Black vs Satin White.** A side-by-side with the standard black X5. Black is the more conventional color, but the white looks great. The trade-off is that white is more delicate and may look dirty sooner, so keep it in its pouch after use. He asks viewers which they prefer. ![[images/Insta360 X5 Black vs Satin White and The Best Deal Ever-t0134.webp]] - **2:02–2:54 – The deal.** The X5 was $30 cheaper briefly during Prime Days. Now, partly in response to the DJI Osmo 360 launch, Insta360 has cut the price by 5%. Combined with a special affiliate gift, the Double Lens Replacement Kit (worth about $45, covering two lens guards instead of one), he calls it the best X5 deal so far. The link is in the description, and the gift is time-limited. ![[images/Insta360 X5 Black vs Satin White and The Best Deal Ever-t0228.webp]] - **2:54–3:34 – X5 vs Osmo 360 and wrap-up.** He still thinks the X5 is the best 360 camera on the market. Replaceable lens covers are a key strength over the Osmo 360, whose protruding lenses can be damaged quickly. He points to his detailed comparison, promises more X5 and 360 videos, and teases "exciting news in a few days." ## Things mentioned ### Cameras - **Insta360 X5 (Satin White)**: the white colorway of Insta360's flagship 360 camera, with orange accents and a glossy finish that shows color flecks. - **Insta360 X5 (black)**: the standard version, used for the side-by-side comparison. - **DJI Osmo 360**: rival 360 camera.
