# Sources - Unity Dialogue and Spaces Project
This cumulative note retains the earlier bibliography and adds the references encountered since it was first shared. New entries were checked against the preserved conversation and lookup results, rather than reconstructed from memory.
The retrieval status matters: a fetched page is different from a search-result excerpt, and a link returned by a search is not necessarily a source used in implementation. Most project code is original implementation guided by your requirements and general API knowledge, not a reproduction of an external tutorial.

## Sources added since the previous note
These six references informed the panorama-quality, video-resolution, button-styling, and host-ownership work. They are distinguished from the additional search-only links below.
### Image quality and horizontal wrapping
- **Texture Import Settings, Unity 2021.3:** search-result excerpts consulted for imported Max Size, downscaling, mipmaps, streaming, platform settings, and Crunch compression; this reference supported the opt-in panorama quality test preset in `PanoramaTextureImportUtility.cs` ([Unity Texture Import Settings](https://docs.unity3d.com/2021.3/Documentation/Manual/class-TextureImporter.html)).
- **TextureWrapMode, Unity 6000.5:** search-result excerpt consulted to distinguish Repeat tiling from Clamp edge-pixel extension; this supported the Repeat-U/Clamp-V sampling changes in `PanoramaSkyboxRenderer.cs` ([Unity TextureWrapMode](https://docs.unity3d.com/6000.5/Documentation/ScriptReference/TextureWrapMode.html)).
The lookup supported checking import and sampling settings, not a confirmed diagnosis of the reported white seam. The original image was not inspected to establish whether its edge pixels or stitching caused the line.
### Video dimensions and resolution
- **VideoClip.width, Unity 6000.0:** page fetched; the retrieved text contained the `public uint width` signature, its pixel-width description, and its relation to aspect ratio, although the example code was truncated; this informed removal of the fixed-size video render target ([Unity 6000.0 VideoClip.width](https://docs.unity3d.com/6000.0/Documentation/ScriptReference/Video.VideoClip-width.html)).
- **VideoClip.width, Unity 6000.6:** page fetched with a targeted extraction confirming that `width` is a `uint`; this was the version-specific type check for the resolution-sizing implementation ([Unity 6000.6 VideoClip.width](https://docs.unity3d.com/6000.6/Documentation/ScriptReference/Video.VideoClip-width.html)).
### Button styling and single-host ownership
- **GUIStyleState.scaledBackgrounds, Unity 6000.6:** page fetched to check the background-image field and its editor-only availability; this prompted the `UNITY_EDITOR` guard around high-DPI style handling in `Spaces360Host.cs` ([Unity GUIStyleState.scaledBackgrounds](https://docs.unity3d.com/6000.6/Documentation/ScriptReference/GUIStyleState-scaledBackgrounds.html)).
- **RenderSettings.skybox, Unity 6000.6:** page fetched to confirm that the skybox setting is global; this supported restricting panorama navigation to one active host instead of allowing independent hosts to compete for it ([Unity RenderSettings.skybox](https://docs.unity3d.com/6000.6/Documentation/ScriptReference/RenderSettings-skybox.html)).
## Additional links returned by those searches
The following eighteen references appeared in the two texture-related searches. They are included for completeness, but they were not separately fetched or independently established as implementation sources. Several concern much older Unity releases or Japanese documentation, so do not treat their defaults or limits as verified for Unity 6000.6.5f1.

## Fixes from your Unity console
- `Object.GetInstanceID()` obsolete (CS0619): replaced with object-keyed dictionaries.
- `FindObjectsSortMode` deprecated (CS0618): replaced with the overloads without a sort mode.
- CS0234 missing `UnityEngine.InputSystem`: fixed by adding `Unity.InputSystem` to `Spaces360.Runtime.asmdef`.
These entries are user-provided project evidence, not references to independently researched documentation pages. They are retained separately from the web bibliography.
## Project design inputs
- Your brief and follow-ups: Insta360 media, node-based dialogue and 360 navigation as independent systems, JSON/XML export, Input System only, scene-anchored spaces, direction-of-travel arrival.
- Project: [Unity Dialogue and Spaces Game](https://www.perplexity.ai/projects/unity-dialogue-and-spaces-game-ujd2VjgFTt2pITiAglkegg)
### Decisions and observations since the previous note
- **Direct media:** drag-and-drop image/video references on scene anchors replaced catalog/key authoring; the Media Catalog and compatibility fallback were subsequently removed at your request.
- **Saved connections:** assignment immediately saves graph-backed destination links, which you confirmed persist and appear in the graph; you also confirmed navigation works in Play mode.
- **Duplicate buttons:** you found two hosts and confirmed that deleting the old one removed the overlapping buttons. This is direct user test evidence, separate from the documentation about the global skybox.
- **Parallel journeys:** your 2018 parking-lot, 2020 construction, and 2024 building photographs motivated independent dated graphs with explicit counterpart mappings, date/year buttons, and preservation of viewing direction.
- **Journey colors:** separate connection, anchor-marker, and current-anchor colors were staged in the working scripts. The zip and authoring guides were intentionally not regenerated for that small change.
No additional external tutorial, paper, or library reference was consulted specifically for the direct-media redesign, persistent connection list, explicit temporal mapping model, year-button panel, or staged color controls. These features were developed from your requirements and project code; the color controls reuse the earlier Gizmos/Handles foundation.
## Verification and scope
- **Source checks:** later script updates were parsed for C# syntax and their packaged files were checked for archive integrity. These checks are not Unity compilation or Play-mode execution.
- **Unity testing:** compiler output and in-project behavior checks came from you; the assistant did not run the project in Unity.
- **Panorama quality:** the white seam's precise cause and the effectiveness of the import preset have not been confirmed from the original panorama.
- **Panorama alignment:** the physical alignment/rotation direction was not independently play-tested by the assistant.
- **Time UI:** the delivered implementation uses buttons for directly mapped available eras; a time slider is a proposed follow-up, not an implemented feature.
- **Version caution:** the bibliography intentionally retains the exact documentation versions encountered. A historical documentation result does not imply that every setting or API was verified against Unity 6000.6.5f1.
This bibliography update changes only the sources note. It does not rebuild the zip, update the authoring guides, or publish the staged color changes.
