Lab open the full block.** --- ## Due today **Resume — first draft.** PDF in Canvas before your hour, **and printed** for the conference. --- ## Your conference This is a line edit, not a conversation about your resume. I go through it bullet by bullet with a pen. Expect ink. What I'm testing each line against: - Does it carry a **constraint**? Triangle budget, shot count, team size, sprint length, deadline, file size. - Does it carry an **outcome**? Shipped, downloaded, screened, delivered on time. - Could you be **tested** on every skill listed? An art test will find the lie. - Do the **links work**? I click them. In a private window. **Bring a pen.** You'll be writing on it. --- ## If you went to Industry Giants Bring it to your conference — it's five minutes well spent. Who did you talk to, what did the portfolio reviewers say, and what are you changing because of it? If you got notes on a piece, we'll fold them into the production plan today rather than letting them evaporate. And if you haven't sent your follow-ups yet, send them before Monday. Beyond about seventy-two hours a follow-up stops reading as prompt and starts reading as an afterthought. Write everything down now, while you still remember it. Those entries count toward your Networking Log. --- ## Also today, in the lab: the 15-second test Before or after your conference, hand the printed draft to a classmate. They read it for fifteen seconds, turn it face down, and tell you what they remember. Anything they can't recall gets cut, moved up, or rewritten.
