# Showcase Piece — Final — 5 points **Due: Week 15 — Friday, December 4** **Submit: unlisted/public link + downloadable file + final shot list PDF** --- ## What changes from the rough cut Final renders, final timing, final audio, and the delivery hardened so it works in a room you don't control. ## Delivery — all three, no exceptions 1. **Hosted unlisted on Vimeo or YouTube**, embedded on your portfolio site 2. **A direct downloadable file** — 1080p, H.264, reasonable bitrate — for the environments where streaming is blocked. This happens more than you'd think. 3. **An offline copy on a laptop or drive** that you carry to any in-person review Venue wifi fails at exactly the wrong moment. Every time. Bring the file. ## Final checks - **Length:** 60–90 seconds for a reel. Every second past ninety is costing you. - **First eight seconds:** still your best material? - **Muted test:** watch it with sound off. Does it still work? - **Phone test:** watch it on a phone. Is anything unreadable at that size? - **Cold test:** open the link in a private browsing window on a machine that isn't yours. Bring: the offline file, a device that works without wifi, something to write on, and **one specific question** — "where does this fall short of the bar for a junior on your team?" is a good one.
