# Website — Final (Format & Polish) — 5 points
**Due: Week 15 — Friday, December 4**
**Submit: live URL in Canvas**
---
## What this milestone is about
The content was due in Week 11. This is the pass where it stops looking like a student site.
## Checklist
**Consistency**
- Every project page uses the same template, in the same order, with the same heading hierarchy
- Two typefaces maximum, used the same way everywhere
- Image sizes and aspect ratios consistent within a page
- Neutral background — your work supplies the color
**Completeness**
- **6 to 10 pieces.** Not eleven. If you're at eleven, cut the weakest — a portfolio is judged closer to its weakest included piece than its strongest.
- Nothing unfinished, nothing marked "WIP," nothing you'd need to apologize for
- Every video plays; every embed loads; no broken images
**Findability**
- Custom domain resolves, with and without `www`
- Favicon set
- Page titles are real — `Jane Doe — Environment Artist`, not `Home | Untitled`
- Alt text on images
- Your name is searchable — Google yourself and see what comes up
**Contact**
- Route on every page
- Resume PDF current and downloadable (the Week 11 final, not the draft)
- Links out to LinkedIn and your platform profile
- **Every single link tested in a private browsing window**
**The 30-second test, again**
Hand it to someone who hasn't seen it. Can they answer, in thirty seconds: what you make, whether you're any good, what role you want, how to reach you?
## Grading note
I grade this by opening it cold on a phone and on a laptop, with no warning and no explanation from you. That's how it will be seen for the rest of its life.
## Rubric
| Standard | Points |
| --------------------------------------------------------------- | ------ |
| 6–10 pieces, all finished, nothing weak left in for volume | 1 |
| Visual and structural consistency across every page | 1 |
| No broken links, images, embeds, or videos — verified | 1 |
| Findability: domain, titles, favicon, alt text, searchable name | 1 |
| Contact and current resume reachable from anywhere on the site | 1 |
## After this course
Set a calendar reminder for six months from now.
**If your newest public piece is more than six months old, you read as stalled** — whether or not you are. Junior artists who visibly improve out-hire juniors with better but static work, because a lead is buying your trajectory, not your current frame.
One new or substantially reworked piece per quarter. Put it on a calendar today, not in your head.
