# Website — First Draft (Content) — 5 points **Due: Week 11 — Friday, November 6** **Submit: live URL in Canvas — it must be public** --- ## What this milestone is about **Content, not polish.** Everything real is on the site and readable. Formatting and refinement come in Week 15. If you find yourself adjusting margins this week, you're on the wrong assignment. ## What has to be true **Landing page** - Your ranked piece order from Week 10, live - Strongest piece in the first position - Thumbnails cropped so each piece reads at grid size - No splash screen, no intro animation **Every project page** - Finished beauty shot or video at the top - Breakdowns below it: wireframe/topology, texture sets, turntable, in-engine capture, or progression — whatever is appropriate to the piece - **Role statement**, two to four sentences (see below) - Correct title and date **Site-wide** - Contact route on every page - Resume PDF downloadable - About page — three sentences and a photo, not an autobiography - Custom domain pointing correctly - Works on a phone. **Test this.** A real share of first views happen on a phone in a hallway. ## The role statement Every piece gets one. Plain sentences: 1. What the goal was 2. **Exactly what your role was** — be precise on team pieces 3. What constraint you worked under 4. What tools 5. One thing you'd change now That last clause reads as maturity and costs you nothing. > **On credit:** if you were one of four people on a piece, say so and say what part was yours. Inflated credit is the fastest way to lose an offer, and it comes out in the interview when someone asks a follow-up question about a part you didn't touch. ## Minimum content At least **four** finished pieces fully written up.
